The early history of Iron Maiden begins from Christmas day which took place in 1975. Steve Harris (bass) had left the band earlier Smiler. then Harris wanted to form aband whose name is adapted from The Man in The Iron Mask, a novel by Alexandre Dumas. Harris then contacted the singer Paul Day who have been motivated by it as an energy source is full of charisma on stage. But soon his position was replaced by Dennis Wilcock, a fan of Kiss. This first album was able to occupy a position in the United Kingdom in its first week when it was released. And since that time they dubbed The New Wave of Heavy Metal Brittish. Many albums produced some favorite songs, namely "Running Free", "Transylvania", "Phantom of The Opera", and "Sanctuary". Alas, only released in the United Kingdom, while in America, was released later. After rolling out the tour Stratton choose to resign from his position at the Group and was replaced by Adrian Smith in October 1980.
